GSEP’s members are leaders in the electricity sector, with unmatched insights and expertise. We are always working to advance and share our knowledge surrounding electrification, be it in the form of research publications or private exchanges between member company experts.
In September 2022, GSEP launched the first edition of our new flagship publication, the Global Electrification Monitor (GEM).
The GEM is an instrumental tool for those working to accelerate electrification, as it not only monitors past trends, but seeks to identify space-for-action, or the most promising opportunities to promote zero-carbon electrification as we look to the future. These insights analyze the state of electrification across various sectors and regions and have been shared with industry leaders through events and webinars.
At GSEP’s most recent private member meetings in Montreal and Paris, experts from our member companies shared strategic insights amongst themselves and with other key industry players. From a timely review of the role of AI in the decades to come with top researchers to a roundtable on community relations and social acceptance and a discussion on the new geopolitics of energy, GSEP members are constantly considering all angles of the most timely issues influencing the energy sector.
Our companies' experts are thought leaders at the cutting edge of the evolution of the energy sector.
In May 2022, a working group on circular economy was convened, in which experts from GSEP members E.ON, Enel X, and Hydro-Québec exchanged on their companies’ initiatives and perspectives surrounding circularity as a lever for decarbonization.
